High School swimming runs from August 19 - November 21 You are expected to make the committment to the team for that entire period.
It is recommended that you join a summer swim team to help develop technique and endurance.
August 19 - October 2 you will train M-F from 5-6pm at Oak Knoll Country Club
When we move to SLU, practice will be M-TH from 6:15 - 7:30pm and Friday from 5-6 pm.
You must attend a mininum of 5 practices a week in addition to attending the meets.
You will be responsible for the team fees and purchasing a practice suit, the team suit, team cap and goggles. More information on the team suit will follow.
| Meets will be held in Slidell, Mandeville, and Hammond. The state qualifying meet will be in Sulphur, LA. You will receive your meet schedule as soon as it is ready.
Grades are essential to a successful high school career. Academics will have priority over swimming. However, you should adjust your schedule to make sure both activities are being accomplished. If you do not have enough time for your studies, then you must consider not swimming.
In order to letter you must qualify for state in an individual event and maintain a 2.5 GPA.
PHS and HHS students must make the Division 1 State Qualifying times.
